Get that page in your native language and follow Amazon's directions to manually install the update.

All firmware 5.6 or newer MUST use MrPI to install packages.
You will also need KUAL to run MrPI (and your screensaver add-in).

You will have to re-install the screensaver package (and python if your using it).
That is always true.
Your jailbreak will survive the update.

Amazon updates do not effect the books.
