Amazon is fond of using multiple extensions for the same content. For example a KF8 file may have an extension of .azw3, .azw or .prc depending on the device or app being used.
Likewise, KFX files use .kfx in some places and .azw8, .azw9 or .yj in others. This plugin uses .kfx since that is the most common extension used. The first post in this thread already states that you can open KFX files in the Kindle Previewer by changing the extension to .azw8. It is the same file type.
