I agree to a point. We have been years trying to change people opinions in romance so people stop thinking of them as mommy porn, smut, trashy books, bodice rippers..etc 50 Shades did a lot of damage to the respectability of the romance genre. It's very disheartening to people just accept outsiders views and lump every romance fan together. The more people think this the more damaging it can be.
