Yes. Change your calibre preferences.
Preferences - Change calibre behaviour - Conversion:Common Options - Page Setup - Output profile and select 'Tablet' at the bottom of the list.

This option makes no attempt to rescale images to fit a particular screensize during conversion.

ETA: For any book you reconvert, after having already converted it at least once, you may need to click the 'Restore Defaults' button on the first page of conversion settings so that this book will 'see' your updated Output profile.
