Do you have the Fire HD 8?
I thought you had a different device. You said flat out it did not work with your 10. There could be differences and probably are.
And did you ever get your Fire 10 to work properly?
Unless you have exact same device, please quit saying things won't work on other devices.
Exact same means size, type, OS and firmware.
Last year's Fire HD 10 does not equal this year's Fire HD8.
Oh and I'm sorry you don't feel good.
I know you want to be helpful and by all means if someone asks about your exact device please answer or answer that whatever didn't work on your specific device and tell us exactly which device you have.
For example: did you know that the Paperwhite has at least 5 different firmwares depending on the generation and how many updates Amazon has made. I am not sure how many different operating systems the fires have had. (Not counting updates.)
Yes, I do tend to get picky but only because we are usually talking 2 different devices.
In one thread, I typed first 6 of your serial number, firmware, special offers or not and connect to a wall outlet so many times that my tablet started popping up those words in order.
It saved several kindles from being bricked.
An example of what I mean by different.
Someone came in with the exact same device as mine. Well turns out it wasn't exact. After going back and forth for a bit, it turns out we were not seeing the same thing because his had not been updated to a later firmware. So that is why exacts are important.
