which i did, and it had worked (i don't know why it's 5.6.1.0.6 now). I just found a "partial download" in the root directory. I deleted it.
So i guess i should downgrade it again. Doing that right now (fingers crossed).
Cinisajoy: Yes, sir! I didn't know what the danger was but i thought the point was moot since my device was now a brick, but i'll obey. Thank you.

Good rule of thumb, never put full serial numbers of anything on the internet unless registering the product at the manufacturer website. Even if you think the anything is a brick.
