Some of my electronic devices have acquired names, and some haven't.

My iPod is called George, as in, "I wanna hug him and squeeze him and call him George."

My clunky old Thinkpad is called Brickbat.

My Asus EEE is called Spot after the sentient computer in Diane Duane's Young Wizards series.

My two ebook readers, the VictorReader Stream and the Sony 505, haven't acquired names yet, even though I've had the Stream for over a year already. Despite daily use, they haven't developed personalities the way that some other electronic devices have. I don't know why that is.
