This is one of their typical canned enticements to get you to stay. The way to "trigger" it is always to say "too expensive." It won't come up every time but I've gotten it twice, and my wife once. If you've gotten it recently it will instead offer $7.49 a month for 3 months. Another good option is to choose "I don't want to give a reason." Some times it will offer you an instant freebie (with the quote "maybe you just haven't found the right book yet") from a list of titles, kind of like the old "instant sale" where you'd lose the sale if you clicked off the offer.
