I love the size of the device and the weight but why is the thing so frustratingly slow?
We also have a Kindle Oasis. That thing just blazes compared to either Kobo reader. The bigger screen and more useful user interface of the Kobo are great but what the heck did they do with the firmware?

That is strange, My Aura one boots quite a bit faster than my Aura HD does and turns pages at the same speed despite the larger screen with more text on it. Perhaps there is something wrong with yours, try a reset or perhaps exchange it if it is that slow, something is not right that is for sure.
