This is a very similar feature to the "reading recommendations" feature of the Kindle (although that can be turned off). I believe that Kobo have a similar feature, too.

Can a Kobo user verify this? I've been using Kobos for a couple of years and the book always opens when you click on it without any types of ads or reading recommendations.
