Yeah I tried all that. I read that if the device runs out of power while updating it might corrupt the data and brick it.

I tried factory reset, I tried normal reset. I even unplugged the battery to make sure it's off but nothing helped.

I booted up an Android OS on a second SD card and it worked so the EBook reader is not broken.
