Nope - it's NOT a network problem.

I'm having exactly the same problem, and the ONLY application this is affecting is Calibre.

I have run full network troubleshooting on the whole system, and this seems to be a problem with the Calibre installer, and ONLY the Calibre installer.

Prior to this, the installer was also freezing up and throwing errors, saying that the PyQt4.qt module couldn't be found.

All of this began *immediately* after installing the latest update, 2.68, one day ago.

I have PyQt5.qt and pyQt4.qt both installed - there should be no conflict between them - and have gone backwards and tried deleting the full Calibre installation and re-installing from a clean system.

It was after i tried re-installing from a clean system that the installer started throwing the "network error" message.

ALL of these problems have emerged since the latest update. Nothing has changed on my system since attempting to update Calibre.
