I would never purchase such an image-heavy book to read on a Kindle. This would only suit the kindle Fire, which I don't have, or a tablet, which I also don't have, but isn't suited to eink because of the colour photos. If I were interested in the subject, I'd buy it as a hardback or to read on the pc (in which case the blog would do).

Many tablets have kindle apps, but they can also view your blog. Maybe aim at the tablet market because of the colour and include interesting things which are not part of the blog.
For those of us with eink readers, consider a paper version of the book.
