You know I was wondering the exact same thing. It would certainly boost battery life. In the past I have always left h20 in sleep mode because of the books on my sad card(over 6000) and the reader loaded from internal memory fast on boot but required additional time for the external storage to be recognized. But since KA1 has no external storage I am wondering if the boot time will be just as quick with my 6000 eBooks. That is the only reason I am wavering on the standby/off position. At the end of the day it's perception. Just powered off and on slight delay it's not instant but only a few seconds delay.. I can live with that.

Another consideration is wear and tear on the button...

Regards

Jack
