I had no problem with the "old school" covers either. Perhaps because they were "new school" when I first encountered them (though I've never been much of a cover art aficionado in the first place). That, and the fact that I couldn't care any less if newer generations of readers deprive themselves of the joy of reading great books simply because the artwork on the cover might be "dated." Serves them right if they're that petty, if you ask me. I get tired of all the cover "updating," repackaging, and movie-edition re-releases anyway. They're books, not paintings for the wall. *shrug*
