Ummmm .... there is a law that says you can't play bait and switch or lie to the customer in a way that constitutes fraud. That's true no matter what it says on the receipt.

I would suggest that your girlfriend contact the store again, and inform them that she is lodging a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's office against the store for fraud.

She went into the store for a Sony 700, and they gave her a 505, making her think she was getting something she did not in fact get.

She should be polite, but firm. Explain to the store that she was lied to, and that an attorney she knows (me) has instructed her to pursue an action in fraud (and negligent misrepresentation) against the store, including punitive damages, as well as to report the store to the Atty Gen.

Oh, and my sister was also a cast member - only in Anaheim.

I would also suggest that she inform Disney of the name of the store (or chain) and let them know exactly what they did to her.

Oh ... and if it's a chain, screw dealing with the management of that store. She should contact and complain (as noted above) directly at the corporate level. National level chain stores do NOT like getting a bad reputation because there are one group of assholes at one store.
