Chaley, I wonder if it is because I have too many books. I currently have 10080 on my fire, and wanted to add 15 more. I tried connecting as wireless device, and it does just what Calibre does when I try to connect by USB. It usually disconnects after about 5 minutes of updating the library. CC lets me update the library, but disconnects when I try and sync. Unfortunately, CC isn't letting me delete books, either, so I cannot delete as I go. I have about 5 books I have read, but I get unknown error when I try and delete.
