Those are the slim fit covers. (I don't really like these because they have a clasp...) I think Gecko will add colors and types of covers later. It's just that the normal black one can be produced the fastest; it's just their default cover in a different size with a (probably) cutout for the light sensor.

I hope they don't go through the trouble of having a cutout for the logo. I've seen one cover that has this, and it just looks weird because it's not in the middle.

When looking at eBay, it seems to be more of the same crap as four years ago for all the better known readers. All slimfit covers with clasps, metal parts, and protrusions, or normal covers but with extra pockets, stylus holders, or flappy covers because they must have a stand mode.

The perfect cover, as I have for my Paperwhite (no metal parts or flaps, fully covered bezels, retaining flap on the left where you slide the reader into it) doesn't seem to exist anymore.
