improving PDF reading
Since I have the One, I've started to read PDFs I'd given up on, but with Kobo's very poor treatment it remains annoying. So, exploring Acrobat pro, I found a nifty quick way to crop all pages within the range of my choice (I worked on a copy). I kept the page number inside my crop.
It is already better, but not ideal since on the Kobo the footer adds a big space at the bottom. There is no added header which is good.
I know I could go the full-page way, but I hate it for kepubs. I tried disabling the extended kobo features but it had no impact. And I tried zooming, but the minimum step available is still too big to have my full cropped page.
I've looked at Geoffr's patches, but they apparently concern only epubs and kepubs, and I want the footer for kepubs anyway.
I am looking for a way to seriously reduce or eliminate footers for PDFs, and only for PDFs. Any idea?
