Great Falls, NJ, USA
Great Falls (The Great Falls of the Passaic River) is one of the largest waterfalls in the United States. It served as the site (and power behind) a planned industrial city, now part of the city of Paterson. Alexander Hamilton played a major role in its development.
These days the area is a
National Historical Park, and the area around it is being set aside for a state park. Some of the natural beauty has been restored.
