Oh, by the way...many phone providers cripple Bluetooth capability on their phones, so even if you do everything right, you may not be able to get online without hacking the phone. Howardforums.com is a good place to go for information on these issues.

Setting up Bluetooth hotsync also requires some setup on the desktop end. Let us know when/if you want to try that.

Re: bluetooth security - there is little danger, assuming you exercise reasonable precautions with your visibility and discoverability settings. After all, your Palm's BT range is only about 30 feet at most! And you won't have it on continuously because of the power drain. A few years ago there was a fad for "bluejacking" or sending joke messages in crowds via the address card exchange protocol (which doesn't require password pairing), but this was not a serious threat. Nevertheless, an encrypted database app is always a good idea if you keep sensitive information on your Palm - the built-in locking/record hiding features are a joke.
