I am on my desktop now and it has some stuck thingie too, but different, some defender thingie is stuck. It got the other stuff I think yesterday looking at that update log thingie. That one says 1511.
My netbook, which is what I was dealing with earlier, had 1607 listed as a recent update like last week or so. Let me go downstairs and check if its back on after the last reboot.....
Ok, netbook says 1607, but even after that last update try, it now says could not get update, some bla bla, cumulative thingie didn't update because the PC was off with bunch of numbers. Then it tells me to look online? It will keep trying? WTH.
Totally lost here.
I guess it will just have to be as it is. As long as I can still use the computer. If I can't anymore, I guess I am screwed then.
My desktop is W10 pro, my netbook is the regular version.
eta: weird. When I clicked the retry button under the stuff where it said it couldn't update and all that, I did it and after a bit it now says its up to date. Hitting check for update says again, up to date. Like it just went poof. Oh well, Its running still.
Now I have to figure out the desktop. It looks a bit different there. A defender update is trying to download and it just keeps flashing and staying at 0. But going into details on the settings it says there is something else waiting for download says "update for windows 10 1511". Since the other one is just flashing and trying, its not doing this one I guess. No clue. Again, it will just have to fix itself as I just don't know what I am doing, obviously.
