I launched mobi2mobi, for example, and I watched through the Task Manager and I see two mobi2mobi processes, one using 50% CPU and another using 0% CPU, the output tells me the Database name, plus other parameter till the baktime, draws a line (literally) and there it hangs forever.
What can I look to check the status ? Is is ActivePerl the culprit ?
Does it happen on all books? It seems very strange that it just stopped working. Maybe you have installed another version of the Palm modules?

What it does after drawing the line is to check all records and see if it is an image or not. It seems impossible to get an infinite loop there so I really do not see how it can hang.

If you can run the ActivePerl version it is very easy to enable the debug print outs in mobi2mobi to see were it hangs.
