Amusingly, iOS supports fixed-format KF8, which means they basically have most of the functionality working, and from talking to some of their developers a few years back, I expected full KF8 support by a couple of years ago. I wonder what set them back....
I guess they decided that trying to force people to buy their hardware was worth alienating the mobile users who spend the most money on on-device purchases. We'll see how that works out for Amazon in the long run....
