If you put this in there (add the [FeatureSettings] category if you don't already have it):
Code:
[FeatureSettings]
FullScreenReading=true
then an extra, undocumented, and experimental (and buggy) option appears in the menu, to remove the header and footer so you can read full screen.
It works quite well with EPUB files, but sometimes, you get a large white space on the bottom of the screen. This can possibly be fixed with some CSS settings. Also, things like reading progress, chapter length preview and time to read don't work with EPUBs (they also don't work if you don't use this full screen mode). The full screen mode works with KEPUB as well, but it has some rendering problems, which I'm trying to fix in this thread, but it's not going too well because I'm not yet very experienced with Kobo readers and their KEPUB weirdness.
I'll try again tonight. If I can get the rendering fixed with the KEPUB files (which I'd prefer, so reading progress, chapter length preview and time to read work) or EPUB (I probably prefer the larger screen estate than the reading progress options), then I'll post a 'definitive post' with a summary of how to get one or the other fixed.

Please be mindful of posting misleading information.
1) Full screen mode is a little buggy, unless you patch your Kobo, which is a fairly easy and painless thing to do. This has been mentioned to you several times now by me. I know you continue to have issues, but as you've got discussions going in several threads I've stopped trying to keep pace. I have full screen enabled and have zero issues with kepubs.
2) Chapter progess, reading time, etc. all work fine. You just don't have them at the bottom of the screen. A simple tap to bring up the controls, and another on the appropriate option will display all of this information.
