Hello,
I just got a Kobo Aura One -- have always had Kindles and upgraded every year, but I've been frustrated that they stubbornly stick with that tiny six inch screen. So I was excited about the Aura One.
So far, it seems pretty cool. But I downloaded a book preview to see what reading is like -- and the freaking text only fills a relatively small rectangle in the middle of the huge screen! WTF is up with that? It's about the same size as the Kindle I am replacing. What the hell is the point of boasting this large screen if you aren't even going to use it to fill with text. That is the most harebrained thing I have ever seen.
Is there a setting to have it fill the entire screen with text?
Also was not too happy that there was no light to indicate charging when it was first charging up when the power was off. I had to leave it on the whole time just to be able to tell it was charging.
EDIT: I did find a way to change the margins, and that improved things. Also I think the book I was looking at had a weird formatting built into it. I looked at another book and it wasn't so bad. So things are not as dire as they seemed, I overreacted a bit.
Thanks
Bob
