I tried to be very careful, and I already use some of those patches on both the H2O and the Glo HD (the 3.15.0 F/w version).
A "rechecking" right now:
adobe
<Patch>
patch_name = `Remove PDF map widget shown during panning`
patch_enable = `
yes`
replace_bytes = 0295EE, 00 F5 94 75, 12 E0 00 BF
</Patch>
<Patch>
patch_name = `Preserve PDF pan position across page turns`
patch_enable = `
no`
replace_bytes = 02077E, 04 46, 98 BD
</Patch>
Very very strange because in fact the pan position works, but I still see the map widget. I did say in my previous mail that I had set the pan to yes, but I looked at my checklist and that is what I chose (next time I"ll write yes because I like it).
nickel
patch_name = `My 24 line spacing values`
patch_enable = `
yes`
It definitely doesn't work with any of the books I tried, in fact is seems worse.
patch_name = `Custom left & right margins`
patch_enable = `
yes`
I haven't tested that
patch_name = `Custom font sizes`
patch_enable = `
yes`
Not sure. I tried to compare with the Glo HD which has it, but the numbers are different.
patch_name = `Search in Library by default`
patch_enable = `
yes`
Doesn't work for the One.
patch_name = `Freedom to advanced fonts control`
patch_enable = `
yes`
The most important for me. Doesn't work for the One.
patch_name = `Force user line spacing in KePubs`
patch_enable = `
yes`
Doesn't work on the one kepub where I had this problem recently.
patch_name = `Un-Force user font-family in KePubs`
patch_enable = `
yes`
# Alternatve 1:
#replace_string
...
# Alternatve 2:
replace_string
Not sure. I'll have to try on various kepubs, next time I'll try alternative 3.
patch_name = `KePub full justification default`
patch_enable = `
yes`
First try here, did seem to work on a couple of kepubs, but didn't on many more.
I had a lot of problems with the One yesterday, so even though I now systematically check that the database is ok, perhaps there is something wrong with it.

EDIT: Forgot to say I didn't touch the nickel patch, and modified the following in the librmsdk patch:
<Patch>
patch_name = `Fix page breaks bug`
patch_enable = `yes`
replace_bytes = 2C08E4, E6 D0, E6 E7
</Patch>
<Patch>
patch_name = `Default ePub monospace font (Courier)`
patch_enable = `yes`
I also said yes for the monospace font.
I think I'll try this evening to modify just the PDFs with both yes to see how it goes and leave the rest with GeoffR's defaults.
