That is exactly how I could never feel comfortable with audiobooks myself. Whenever I try to listen the audiobooks, I easily get disoriented with other things and usually miss a lot of matter in the story.

So you have suggested a good idea DuckieTigger, to first read a book and then subsequently listen the audiobook. Though its double time consuming.
