What the firmware does is differentiate between PC and pure chargers... so if I use my Samsung smartphone charger, the connection popup never comes up... (which I previously made use of in my remote control / page flipping experiment https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=257511 ) . Maybe my USB hub does the same thing whatever my charger does to allow smartphones to charge faster and the Kobo confuses that with a pure charger? It would still be the hub at fault (kinda). Or blame USB for not having a better standard for chargers.

Firmware could certainly be changed to always show connect popup no matter what. Not sure if that is a good idea for a fix.

Edited my post above to clarify I'm talking about my H2O here, I don't have an Aura One sorry
