If the One has one drawback, for me it's too thin.
Anything which can be easily seen while one is holding the device is, in my opinion, garish. The One is dark grey on reflective black on the front making it visible but not obvious, and the logo on the back is a slight depression of the material, all in the same color.

The back of the H2O is light grey on black, while the logo on the front is glossy black on matte black.

Basically I felt like the H2O was trying to advertise Kobo, while the One brands the device but doesn't scream at passerby's about it. I get why branding is a thing, but I try my best to eliminate it in my life.
