Even with the stuck synching process seemingly solved, the battery drains on the Aura One horribly fast while reading.. Started this morning with a full charge, and even just a few hours here and there of reading, (light at 25%) it's already down to 60%. The larger screen is kind of nice,,, it does resemble the page of a typical hard cover book much more than any other e-reader. The coloured lighting, however, I'm less impressed with. I already mourn the loss the seemingly magical ability of e-ink to keep on working without needing to be recharged all the time.
The capacitive touch is a complete fail. Not as bad as the original Aura, but it does degrade the quality of the screen, (comparing the similarly specced Glo HD). But you don't even get the benefit of improved touch... .the Glo HD is more respsonsive and much more accurate to touch, including pinch zoom gestures, than the Aura One.
It's still a fine reader in lots of ways, and the negatives I'm pointing out are not critically adverse. I suspect the GloHD is probably being brought to a very early end of life due to either quality or cost of production issues. But I would have liked to see the H20 upgraded with the slightly better resolution. Overall, I think it remains the better premium reader.
