Part of what they are appealing to is the younger crowd who use their phones to play games and take selfies, not to us older types. I generally get upgrades every couple of years, so unless something changes, I'll probably get next year's model. I jumped all over last year's model because I found 64G a bit cramped, but so far, I'm not close to bumping into the limits of 128G.
I was mostly being humorous in my post. I understand how some will go gaga over even the tiniest improvements. Remember how some swooned over the white colored iPad when it was first introduced? Now that was funny. Apple did make improvements, but for myself those are not a necessity nor a justification to buy the 7 Plus. I do have a 66 year old friend who has camped out in line at an Apple store every year since the iPhone 1 was released to buy the latest model. I will wait until at least the 8 Plus. They are just too expensive to buy each year or even every other year, at least on my budget. I do need to start thinking about upgrading my old iPad Mini 2 with only 16 GB as it is getting older than I am in iPad years.
