It might be that my comment is not valid for the Onyx devices, as I haven't actually got one that has configuration for pen input but here is what I did on the Vivotab anyway.
The Vivotab pen configuration/initialisation process consists of offering a screen covered with dots or very small circles, where you are supposed to tap with your pen. On an earlier version of the pen driver I had the problem that, after I had tapped on the dots and closed the process, the writing that the pen produced was offset from where I was holding the pen. I found that, by not tapping on the dots but slightly to the side or below or above, I could get the writing to be below the pen. Exactly where I had to tap I could find only by trying it and it was a long process. However it did work.
