I hope that you don't think that I'm trying to play one-upmanship. Your post was a good one. But I would like to piggyback off of your post.

As you mentioned, it is the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service (U.S.).

I don't know if the website whose URL that I'm about to give you has just recently been started, to go along with the anniversary, or not. If not, I don't know how I have overlooked it until now.

The National Park Foundation maintains a webpage that they call a "Download Center". Among the goodies are a collection of free ebooks and ebooklets connected with America's National Parks, National Monuments, and maybe other such things.

I've given you the URL for the webpage, but let me list the titles of the ebooks/ebooklets:
National Park Owner's Guide [the "owner" that it is talking about is me and other U.S. citizens].
National Parks by Rail.
Urban Playgrounds.
Gimme Shelter [the range of places in the National Parks where you can rest and recharge--from, say, pup tents to lodges].
I Heart Parks.
Winter Wonderlands.
The Places Nobody Knows.
Happy Trails: 25 Unforgettable National Park Hikes.
Parks for Play: 35 National Park Adventures for Kids of All Ages.

I made a point to call some of these "booklets," because some of them are not very long (but they are still chock-full and tightly-packed with great information and beautiful photos). I noticed that the National Park Owner's Guide is 75 pages long, however, and there may be some ebooks that are longer than it, I dunno.

These ebooks and ebooklets are very well done.
