Here here! That's exactly how I feel about it and never had a battery problem that I've noticed on any of my old Kindles. I don't usually actively keep my devices working for 10 years, rarely am I still fully using a device at it's 5th year anniversary, so for me I don't really care. I don't think it's going to make a huge difference but yes a battery lifespan may be slightly lesser on the Oasis than a Voyage or a PaperWhite but to me it won't matter because I'll have a new device by then.

Completely agree with you here too, loving my Oasis from the small footprint, the ergonomics, the weight and the new cover. For me it was well worth the price.
