I've had the premium leather case on my Voyage for almost two years. It's wearing remarkably well. I'm reasonably careful to not get it wet, but otherwise I don't baby it. It's a little scuffed and has a few scratches. I think it has a lot of character. I recommend it highly.
I think as the patina develops and more of the oils from your fingers transfer to the leather, you'll find that the scratches you see now will fade.
