The problem with only 8GB is that you can not carry references on demand. Also graphics heavy PDFs can be 10MB and more so would only get <1000 books.

Wikipedia Text only was around 20GB last I checked and that was 2 years ago. So with 8 GB goodbye dreams of your own Hello Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy..
