Ich stimme faltradl zu: in diesem Fall sollte man alles so lassen, wie es ist; wenn man nach zwei Seiten tatsächlich schon nicht mehr weiß, wer da redet, sollte man vielleicht lieber das Buch und die Äuglein zuklappen.

Die englische Methode, jeden Absatz innerhalb einer wörtlichen Rede mit Anführungszeichen zu beginnen, ist im Deutschen ja leider nicht üblich.
