Lucky for you, sleep covers use physics, not magic.

Use something iron to figure out where in your sleep cover the magnet is. Touch a not too strong fridge magnet to the device in the corresponding place. Happiness ensues.

I just confirmed with by Aura HD that this works; the sweet spot is at the bottom-right corner of the screen. The most worn-out magnet didn't do the trick, so you may want/have to work your way up in strength.

So, wrapping a small magnet in a piece of cloth gives you a tool you can easily keep handy in bed. (I just hope you don't wear a pacemaker. :P)
