I've done that a few times in the Kindle app on my phone. Thankfully, the Kindle phone app has a very obvious "Bought by mistake? Cancel the order!"-button and every time I have needed to use it, that button has been reliable.
I've never done that from a wishlist in a tablet app though, so that is good to know. Thank you, and karma coming your way for the warning.
EDIT:
It won't let me give you karma. The forum says I've given you too much and have to find someone else to grant karma points to, before I am allowed to do it again.
