If you search on Amazon for Waterfi you'll find a 6" Paperwhite that's waterproof and costs a little less than a comparable Paperwhite without waterproofing. I've never actually seen one but I've seen reviews and tests done on them and read descriptions of their process and it sounds pretty good.
They don't seal the Paperwhite. They disassemble it and coat all the inner parts with something that prevents water from touching them and then they re-assemble them. Because of that process the Amazon warranty is voided but Waterfi has their own 1 year warranty that they claim is the same as Amazons. I haven't read of anyone using that warranty so I don't know how true it is.
They've been selling these since the original Paperwhite and I've never heard anything bad about them but, other than reviews, I've never heard much of anything about them at all.
I don't think I know enough about them to recommend them but if I wanted a waterproof one I don't think I'd be nervous about buying one myself.
