Well, I haven't ordered the ONE yet, but probably *would* get the official cover. I bought the official cover for my Aura HD and couldn't have been more pleased! And it has continued to hold up well and look good. I'm a heavy reader, the Aura HD goes with me everywhere, the cover still looks very close to new! And that's with 3 cats resident....
Besides, I tried some non-official covers for the Aura HD, none came close to the real deal, and yes, that includes the ones that looked nearly identical. That sort fell WAY short, with a protruding magnet that fell under my thumb and cut into my skin while holding the reader. Plus it made LOUD clicks as the magnet contacted exposed metal upon closing. The unofficial knock off also had magnets that were too strong, making it difficult to easily open my e-reader. It ended up in the trash.
I did, however, say *probably*. As I'm not pre-ordering. Hoping to receive the ONE for my anniversary or Christmas. Which means I can wait and see what others think. And see what other non-official book-style covers might be offered.
I'm a bit unsure of how I'll feel about the folding stand aspect. I like a rigid cover, not a floppy one. But having a stand handy would nice, so I'm willing to be convinced.
