And the full answer is something after 3.20.7280. I have no idea whether 3.20.7280 is the factory firmware or just what was put on the review devices. But, it won't be the release going to new devices when they start being opened. Or maybe I should say it won't be the release available on the official day the devices are available. People who get them early might find there is an update on the 5th.

One reason is that the review version only has a sort of demo version of the Overdrive interface - everything goes to a canned "library" run by Kobo and not actual Overdrive libraries. It makes sense for Kobo to control the experience for a review, but clearly it can't be the version that gets released.
