Back in the PDA era my preferred reader was the HP JORNADA with an edge mounted rubber rocker switch. My thumb rested right on it so all I needed was to increase the pressure slightly. No real movement needed.
That's what I like about the haptic sensors on the Voyage. They work on pressure changes, not absolute pressure, so you can hold the reader as lightly or as firmly as you wish and you won't accidentally turn the page.
