The most frequently-made items are corn-fritters and avacado salsa, usually both made on a Sunday to eat on the balcony for brunch (with toasted pide and crispy bacon and, in my case, woosie sauce and tabasco).

You've reminded me though. Mum keeps pushing us (me and my three siblings and our partners) for a "list" of things we want when she dies. Aside from my request for the house and her bank account, and for her innate mad skilz at passive-aggressiveness (see request for list), I actually would like her "old-fashioned" Mixmaster. That would be nice, and have "meaning". Thanks, RSE.
