Fingers crossed, it works for you. I know there are a LOT of posts on that thread, but I would suggest at least skimming it. Some people can't get NookStudy or Nook for PC to work, but for some reason, I'm thinking they're using a Mac OS or a newer version of Windows. I almost never buy from B&N because they removed the download option - but it will change from "almost" to truly "never" if both of these apps stop working.
There are some comments about having an older APK for the Nook Android app, but I keep forgetting to get the details for that to see what's on my phone. I believe I stopped updating it when the issue first came up, but I can't remember if I stopped in time.
