I do have a sleep cover on my Voyage so nearly all the time I just open the cover and read. When I stop I close the cover. So the times that I actually use the power button are very rare. It is true that when I do have the cover open and want to wake it up I have to move the cover out of the way but most of the time I just close the cover and open it again.
Really though, the real answer is that none of this matters. I suspect that when you're using the device you won't even think about any of this. It's when considering it in the abstract, while discussing in a forum, that this kind of stuff becomes important.
I just re-read what I typed and I can't think of a way to change it to avoid the danger that it might sound snarky. It wasn't meant that way and I hope you'll believe me.
