I got an email from the author that all five of the titles in Robert Kroese's Mercury series are on sale for today (Aug 29) only at $1.99 at Kindle US. Kroese is one of the more vocal (I think) self-publishers, however, I've read and enjoyed the first three titles in this series, and the premise (not a spoiler since it's in the blurb for the first one) - an End Times reporter who, after years of reporting on "failed" reports of the End Times, actually runs into the real thing - is pretty funny, IMO at least. I've picked up the two I didn't have yet.
