Tanjamuse - actually a clickable link in a cell may not be a reach too far.
If you put something like this
<a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/crotchety">Crotchety</a> into the HTML panel then you get something like this.
Perhaps Kovid or chaley could implement 'Ctrl+left button mouse click' on such links
