This may be true for same cases, but in my actual case it isn't true.
I tested this easily, tried to open same book twice and I'm 100% sure that problem is caused by book, that only reset (or waiting for battery to run out) solved it.
Also, you misread what DNSB wrote. Read again. Kindle needed battery emptied, this reset device. After that battery needed to be charged again as it was completely empty. It wasn't just question of waiting long enough.
